Lydia Chen listed my friends house in Manalapan and sold it a month or so ago. I first introduced Lydia to Chuck and Cindy Moore a year ago. They were considering listing with a discount brokerage agent who does significant business but I convinced them of the value of the brand and Sotheby’s Realty. Lydia was the consummate professional from the beginning. Their house was very traditional in style and loaded with 25+ years’ worth of stuff. Lydia gave them a homework list of things they needed to do to prepare the house for market. They worked on it for a year and Lydia stayed in touch and provided advise and guidance throughout the process. When it came time to list, the house was still more personal than it needed to be and Lydia was very honest with them about what buyers would want and shared the feedback in a non-offensive way. She had a video produced and professional photography and they were very impressed with the end result. The property was a tough sell for a few reasons including no backyard and no pool but they had it under contract in less than a month. There were some additional hurdles at the end and some approvals needed by the town that were tough to get due to COVID. My friend said that Lydia literally went to the town zoning office and was banging on the door. LOL. Anyway, they finally closed. Kudos to Lydia!
